CES 2017

I don't even know where to begin: I'm still digesting the reports from the 3 days of CES 2017. That's the Consumers Electronics Show for you noobs. It takes place every January in Las Vegas and has over 3600 exhibitors and well over 170K attendees. This is where each year the latest tech is introduced, with a few exceptions, namely Apple and others.

Amazon's Alexa has dominated the home automation IoT landscape and even gone over into the industrial markets, automobiles, actual home appliances, TV's, you name it. Lenovo's come up with their version, including an improved "audiophile" Harmon Kardon branded version @ $180, the standard version is the same price as the Google home, $130.

I'll fill in with other developments.  I'm also excited about the latest progress in 4K TV tech.
